Son T. is Free again! A month ahead...

Hello. I have not written here since mid-May, as I have another blogging site now, that I've visited more recently (on 'Posterity'). This month has passed in waiting for our son Tom's court case to come up again - which it did earlier today. He had been commmited to custody for assessment due to his chaotic behaviour at the end of February, and his arrest on March 1st. He then breached his probation order. At last the psychiatric report on him was done, and his probation officer made her report.

The probation prople asked for another community order with much stricter provisions, even though he had broken the last one. He is now in a good, strong mental state, having been in prison for about 3 months, and having the chance to reflect on his life, and respond to being on medication without any alcohol. He came back to us for the weekend, but on Monday we will go down to the Council offices seeking temporary accommodation for him. This is because he is not officially living here with us any more - my husband and I had a while ago decided to require him to leave and seek state housing. He is now 30 years old, after all.

His application for community housing is almost through. Another report on him is needed from Probation. Meanwhile, he will have to go into emergency accommodation. I do'nt wish to see him on the streets, and would not let that happen. Just for now it is nice to have him here again - we have lovely weather in UK this summer; he must appreciate that after being locked up in a jail, behind old, thick brick walls and so many locks. We went to visit him several times; he was in an old Victorian prison.

I have been attending frequent Al-Anon meetings, and last Friday did a "chair" at the big evening one. I am going along there tonight; Tom has also gone off by bike to one of his 2 fellowships. Tomorrow we will be doing some outreach work and a big meeting in Croydon with our church - Tom says he wants to go. He has got powerfully back into his faith while 'inside'. There was a Christian group he got involved with; they had prayer meetings.

That is all I have time for now, but I will edit this again soon, and add more news. Our 2 newish cats are doing well - enjoying the summer. Bold Charlie now goes out all night, but we keep his little sister Cleo in - there are foxes round here.

That is all - I am glad to be back. By the way, I've also started another new website on Orange Sitebuilder, called serenity-seeker. (My other one is my-adventures.) It's mostly about spiritual matters and therapies I find helpful. It has a section on all the cats I've had until now (pet therapy)! Goddbye!
Love & peace - Tigey.
