I'm married, have a pet cat, my oldest daughter died, enjoy criminology and English language lecturing, travel when I can, like films, good TV, the arts, am fairly left wing, a Christian ('born again' in 2001), love animals, nature and wildlife; and enjoy friends' company. No grandchildren; a son with mental health and alcohol issues. Husband has health problem - vascular dementia, which limits my activities [since 2008]. Daughter A. [27] was lost in road crash in Scotland, 2000.

Aaarh ... she is lovely! I feel so happy for you ... at last there is another sweet cat. I hope Charlie would get less shy with time.

I like your cat pic - what has this one got on her head? Charlie is getting a bit less shy - he comes out quite a lot in the earlier morning (when I'm first up) - and chases his poor sister about before we're up. Perhaps he bullies her a bit. He has found another place, under the dressing table in our bedroom. I know Cleo would like to go outside - she keeps watching the birds and squirrels. I have some good photos of the cats now - and have filmed them on video. Sometimes they start acting out! - Tigey
