Whitton our Ginger Cat Lying on his Back (When younger - 1998)

Whitton, our ginger moggy-cat, stretching out on our bed - on a sleeping bag - at home when he was much younger (aged about 9, taken by our late daughter Alice in 1998) and in his prime. He was plump and strong. He is a ginger neuter tom - now aged well over 17, and in failing health. He is being treated every week at the vet's by "chemo" for lymphoma of the abdominal area, anaemia plus kidney problems, which have made him much thinner and shaky on his legs. Most cats get similar ailments by this age. He has gained in health recently and been able to enjoy going out in our back garden, seeing his younger cat 'mate' (Jack) from next door. At our local vet's surgery he has won a monthly "Braveheart" award for fighting his illnesses and bearing up under the strain. He is still getting a fair quality of life, and recently loved being out in the June sunshine.
