My Adult Children: Tom and sister Alice at her Graduation: Oxford, 1998

Here are my son Tom and his late, older sister Alice W. (my son & daughter) at Alice's Graduation ceremony at Oxford University in 1998 (her was then 21, she was 23). They are in the grounds of her college, Hertford College. These are unique of Alice and her brother happy together - before she died in 2000 (in a road crash in Scotland), and before he had his increasing mental health problems after 2003 (as written in much of this blog). This was a moment of family celebration. Alice went on to complete her doctorate in Earth Science (geology) in late 1998 - she in fact graduated for her first degree (same subject) in 1995. Later in 1998 she obtained a post as a research geologist with the British Geological Survey (BGS) in Scotland; she died there while doing this work.
