Daughter Alice (right) and friend Suzanne at Oxford Graduation: 1998

My late daughter, Alice Louise W. (right) - on her graduation ceremony at Oxford in 1998 (4 years after getting her first degree). She is with her American college friend Suzanne Y., who was studying Mediaeval History. Alice had graduated in Earth Science (geology). She gained her doctorate at the end of 1998 - that same year. These are some of the last good pictures we had of Alice, before she died in May 2000, in road crash in the course of her work as a BGS geologist in Scotland.
