Slopes of Chopok on the Dumbier-Chopok range, in Low Tatra mountains, taken on my trip there in 2003. Dumbier, the adjoining mountain which we also visited, is the highest at 2,043 m. Chamois goats and marmots live here, but we could not see any - just enjoyed the views.

I'm married, have a pet cat, my oldest daughter died, enjoy criminology and English language lecturing, travel when I can, like films, good TV, the arts, am fairly left wing, a Christian ('born again' in 2001), love animals, nature and wildlife; and enjoy friends' company. No grandchildren; a son with mental health and alcohol issues. Husband has health problem - vascular dementia, which limits my activities [since 2008]. Daughter A. [27] was lost in road crash in Scotland, 2000.
